The Story of Jumpalaya Our goal is to make the movies of your life, turning your precious photos into personal cinema. As the creator of Jumpalaya, the first photo movie I ever produced was when my dad passed away. I searched for a way to pay tribute to my father that would be worthy of him. I decided to gather family photos together and use my skills as a creative professional and multimedia artist to create a photo slideshow to celebrate my father’s life. At his memorial service, that cinematic presentation brought comfort, joy and tears, as we honored his memory through the intimacy of photographs combined with the power of music. It was a cathartic experience! Since then, I continued to make photo slideshows on weddings, vacations, special events and casual gatherings of family and friends, because I enjoyed seeing the happiness and strong emotions that these photo videos bring. One day, it occurred to me — why not take this joy-making activity and turn it into a creative business that brings the same joy to others. In that moment of inspiration, Jumpalaya was born — born with the motivation to help you turn your priceless memories into dazzling HD movies that you can watch and treasure and share with the ones you love.
